Angel Acres Horse Haven Rescue
is a 501(c)3 non-profit horse rescue, located in York County, Pennsylvania, dedicated to saving horses bound for slaughter for human consumption in Europe and Asia.
Thoroughbreds are rescued from the killer pens and adopted by loving families, ranchers and people just like you.
Angel Acres is a horse rescue run strictly by volunteers. Adoption fees and donations help us rescue slaughterbound horses who otherwise would be brutally slaughtered to feed the European & Asian thirst for horse meat.
Diners in these countries feast on our American horses flesh.

The volunteers at
Angel Acres Horse Haven Rescue save horses by literally pulling the horses from the killer pens before they are loaded onto trucks bound for the slaughterhouse. The horses rescued come from all over the nation, including some who once were among the top racers in America. Their only crime: They’re just too slow to be race horses!

From Near Death To Good Health!
All horses rescued from slaughter are screened and treated by a veterinarian, farrier and dentist before being made available for adoption at Angel Acres. The person adopting the horse must agree not to race him or her ever again and agree not to sell the horse without first contacting Angel Acres.

Make a Tax Deductible Donation Today

You can’t stop all horse slaughter but you can save horses by making a donation, adopting a horse or sponsoring a horse via our virtual adoption program. The support and interest of concerned citizens like you is vital because we need all the help we can get to continue to rescue slaughter bound horses.
