Jo Deibel is the founder & executive director of Angel Acres Horse Haven Rescue, 501c3 non-profit horse rescud and GFAS-accredited equine facility based in Glenville, Pennsylvania.  Through her organization, Deibel rescues horses bound for slaughter for human consumption.  In the last 8 years, Deibel has successfully rescued and re-homed more than 500 horses. She founded Mattie's Legacy Fund  to assist horses and horse owners in need. An accomplished horsewoman, Deibel is an avid proponent of efforts to end horse slaughter, raise awareness that horse slaughter is NOT humane euthanasia and promote the term "homeless horse". She holds a degree in Business Administration, is a wife and mother of four children.
